Still Wondering

Damien had decided once they got to Diagon alley he would show her all around. He wondered if she got anything for school yet, he assumed that she didn't.

"Well there is many places to go in this little town, what would you like to do first." Damien smiled as he watched her face as she looked around.

"You name it we can find it here. I do have one question, have you given it thought about your school supplies?"

Tessa smiled as she thought about exploring. This was going to be a new adventure for her and she was excited.

She didn't know where she wanted to go first. " You choose for me." She was still really excited.

" No I havent' thougth about my school supplies." She then thought about how she had no money to pay for anything. " I don't have money, I guess we could come back."

Damien was glad he could put a smile on this girls face. "You will get used to the floo network, it just takes time."

"So I have a question, how is a muggle orphanage going to pay for your school supplies? I imagine they get pretty expensive." Damien did wonder

Damien still could not believe this girl just went here with him willingly and still had not asked him about his background yet.

Tessa smiled. " I don't think that I could get used to feeling like that. I almost lost what little bit of lunch I ate."

She then started to sigh. " I really don't know. It looks like I might not being going to Hogwarts after all then."

Tessa knew that he was thinking that she must be crazy going with him. If she thought he was somebody that she thought was dangerous then she wouldn't have been eating with him.

Damien sighed at Tessa. "Yeah I got that way the first few times too, but seeing is we are underage its the only way to travel other than the bus."

Damien took a hold of her hand and started leading her down the street, "Well the first place we need to go to is Olivanders wand shop every witch needs a wand" Damien pulled her into the shop with him and they walked up to the counter to order the wand.

"Ms. Grey here needs a wand, sir"

Tessa smiled. " I would rather take the bus, it can be that bad. I took a bus before. But this was wizarding world, it would be different than a muggle bus.

She knew that Damien was pulling her along when he wanted her to go. And she wasn't trying to stop him. But she then had a small smile.

She whispered. " Damien I told you I dont' have any money."

Damien smiled down at Tessa, "I don't want you to worry about it, I have plenty of funds and besides. I would hate to have to spend the next 7 years at Hogwarts with out my favorite girl."

Damien smiled he finally told her that he was going to be there too. He had hoped that they would be in the same house together but he was sure that would not happen. They were two different people.

"So Ms. Grey, are you wanting to pick out a wand now?" Asked the nice shop keeper.

Damien looked down at Tessa and whispered into her ear. "Please allow me to help you, I have my own trust fund and I want you to be at school with me."

Tessa then started to blush just a litle bit. She didn't have to worry how she was going to pay for her stuff for school. And she was blushing because he called her his favorite girl. He really didn't know her yet.

She was glad that Damien would be going to Hogwarts with her. That meant that she would know somebody. And it wouldn't be as bad. She then wondered what house she would be in. Whatever one it was it would fit her perfectly.

" Umm yes I am wanting to pick out my wand." She really wasn't sure how she was going to do this.

Tessa then whispered back into his ear. " I have no way to repay you back, I would feel bad."

Damien smiled when she said she would pick out a wand. Before she left to go find the wand she said to her.

"Let us not worry about repayment now." Damien never even thought about getting any money back, he just wanted to help the girl out. Damien did had a soft spot for women after all.

Damien watched as Tessa went back with the clerk to find her the perfect wand. Watching Tessa return with a wand.

"So what style did we end up with?"

Tessa smiled all this was so new to her. She didn't think that she would ever get used to being a witch.

"But I have to worry about it, I would feel bad." She sighed a little bit, Tessa didn't want to feel like she was just using him for his money.

Tessa went back with the clerk. Everything that he was saying was a forigen language to her. She was understanding nothing.

She then came back to Daimen. " A pieace of wood."

Damien sighed to Tessa, "Please just do this for me, it will be ok and some day down the road you can pay me back if that is really what you want to do." Damien smiled and pushed her towards the clerk

Damien paced around the store waiting for them to come back and then finally they came back and when he asked her what she got all she she said was a piece of wood.

"Tessa, that is more than a piece of wood, that is your lifeline as a witch. That is your magic wand. Can you not feel the energy that flows through it. Damien smiled and then looked at the clerk.

"So what kind of wand does she have here." Damien asked very politely.

"11 Inches, Oak wood with a Unicorn Hair core, very strong wand for a very strong witch." Smiled the little clerk.

Damien went over with the clerk and paid for the purchase by signing the vault receipt.

"So how are you feeling so far Tessa, I know it is a little overwhelming but feel free to ask me any questions."

Tessa smiled. " Ok I am only doing this for you." She really had no idea how she was going to pay him back. But it was important that she did. He then was pushing her to the clerk.

She knew that Damien wanted to know what she got. But to her it was just a pieace of wood. Tessa admited it was funny.

Tessa nodded as Damien was speaking about how a wand was important. So it was more important than she thought it was.

She then stood there listening Damien asking what kind of wand that she had. " I thought unicorns doesn't exsit."

Tessa then watched as Damien had paid for her wand. " I don't know, everything is happening very fast."

After they got done with the wand shop Damien thought they might want to sit down on the bench outside of the shop. He completly understood that she was overwhelmed withh all of these things.

Damien opened the door for her and then followed her out to the bench.

"I realize that this is a lot to take in, so we can slow down a little." Damien smiled at her.

"You will discover that many things you thought were not real are very much real in the magical world."

Damien leaned back on the bench and placed his arms on the back of it.

"Please feel free to ask all of your questions, maybe I will just take you home with me."

Tessa was glad that they got a chance to sit down. This was all too much for her to understand. This was just a little more than she thought it would be.

She then sat down beside of Damien.

" This is just a little bit too much to take in." She was smiling just a little bit. Tessa knew that he loved her smile.

" Well what else is real that isn't in the wizarding world. I bet all the stories about vampires and werewolfs aren't true."

She then began to watch Damien.

Tessa then started to laugh. " Me? Go home with you, I am most likey going to get hit. Talking to a stranger. Let alone going home with you."

Damien smiled at Tessa a bit, " I can understand that, I was born and raised a wizard so its not new to me at all. But just ask your questions and we will take this one step at a time."

Damien had to laugh when she talked about werewolves and vampires. "Yes, Tessa they are all real, but they are nothing like you read in books. We have potions and blood banks to help them.' Damien smiled, but he knew it would scare her a little, because it goes against everything they are taught in the muggle world.

Damien smiled "No one would even know you were missing, wizards can do a lot of things you know."

Tessa did her best to think of a question. But nothing was coming to her, and this was making her mad. She knew that if there was something else she would think of a question.

When he told her that vampires and werewolves where real, she had fell off the bench. She was getting scared. " I don't want to be a witch, I would rather be a boring muggle."

" I am still not going home with you."

Damien could not understand why she would not want to be a witch. Damien was even more in shock when she fell off the bench.

Damien stood up and help Tessa up off the ground. "I am sorry this has put a shock to your system, but being magical is great and once at school we will learn how to do many things."

Damien looked at her and decided he would go ahead and ask "Why would you not want to be a witch?"

This was all too much for her. And she was hurting cause she fell off the bench.

Damien was helping her up from the ground. " This is just too much for me now. I dont think that I can handle any of it. I don't even know if I am magical, it might be a mistake."

Tessa sighed. " Because maybe I am not meant to be a witch."

Damien smiled at her. "In the magical world we have potions that will make your butt stop hurting in an instance." Damien pulls a bottle out of his pocket. " I always carry one incase, sometimes I like to get into fights and this just saves time."

Damien sighed at her "There are many proofs that you are indeed magical. One when you got your letter from Hogwarts, only witched and wizards get those, and two I imagine you had some reaction when you picked up the wand, because if not we would still be in there looking."

Damien had to laugh at the thought. "It took me 10 tries before I found the right wand."

Damien could not help but sigh when she mentioned that she was not meant to be a witch.

"I bet you your real parents were magical, and that you have always been magical. That clerk thought you were powerful so I bet you are a pureblood. Once we get to Hogwarts we can look through yearbooks and see what we can find out."

Damien looked at her, "How am I suppose to get to know you if your not there?"

Tessa blink. " I am sure that it will keep hurting in a second." She had never heard of a cream that she could just you. It wasn't something that she have heard of. But she didnt' know anything of the wizarding world till the other day. So she had no idea what was right anymore.

" That letter could have been an accident. Or maybe it wasn't meant for me. But someone else. And just because the pieace of wood you call my wand. That could have be another accident." She hoped that he was just drop it. But she knew that he wouldn't.

She sighed. " I am not sure about my parents. Nobody told me a thing. You could always come visit me."

Damien sighed, he didn't know why she couldn't believe that wonderful things could happen to her, and he wasn't sure how he could convince her.

"Well first of all try drinking the potion and you will notice that the pain will go away." Damien held the bottle up to her. "I promise it will work" Damien held the bottle hoping she would try it.

Damien was at the point he wanted to hex the girl just because she was acting so hopeless.

"As you life been that bad that you cannot imagine that for once in your life something good was going to happen to you." Damien sighed. "The letter was addressed to you, so there was no mistake there. And don't try telling me that they are cause I got one too. Owls and wands go to the person they are meant for."

Damien was never one to beg or pout but he knew this girl was going to miss out on a lot if she threw this all away. Damien looked right at Tessa and gave her these cute little puppy dog eyes.

"But at Hogwarts I will get to see you every day, not just once in awhile."

Tessa was looking at the bottle that placed in her hands. She had no idea what it did, and wasn't about ready to take a chance to find what it was. " I was taught never to drink anything I didn't know. For it might be poison."

She could tell that Damien was about ready to reach an end with her.

" Ok so maybe it wasn't a mistake. Maybe it is something that sounds too good to be true. I have never had a lot of good in my life. And it sounds like it isn't real, that it cant' happent o me."

She then laughed when she seen Damien doing the puppy eyes. " Awww you are sooo cute right now!" Tessa laugehd. " I have always seen a dog, but never had one."

Tessa smirked. " What if I am busy with class?"

Damien had to roll his eyes at her. "Gimme the bottle." Taking the bottle Damien took a little drink, but not enough that would effect her dose. "I like you too much to poison you, see I am fine."

Damien just looked at her, "What do you mean too good to be true, look around you and watch the people, they are doing magic everywhere. No faking it here. I would do some for you with my wand but I prefer not to get in trouble.

"Please..Please...Please..I want you to come" Damien was practically bouncing up and down on the bench.

"We are both going to be first years, so I am pretty sure we will have some of the same classes"

Damien usually acted his age but he really wanted to have Tessa at Hogwarts with him.

Tessa then watched as Damien drank from the bottle. If he did it, it must be safe for her. She then took it back and took a sip of it. " I am sorry, but when you did drink something from a bottle of cleaner and they gave me this stuff that made me throw everything back up." She laughed. " It became a lesson that my headmistress taugh. And I was embarrased because it was because I did someething stupid."

She then looked around. " I was rasied to believe that magic wasn't real. That it was only something that you would read in books. And I just find out that it is real, it sounds and looks too good to be true." Tessa smiled alittle bit.

He was know begging her to go to Hogwarts. " I guess I could go, it would be different from the same schooling I have had."

" I am sure of it, but you would want to sit with your friends."

Damien could see that she was feeling a little better about the potion. "I can understand not wanting to drink something you didn't now what it was." Damien smiled. "But since you know it won't hurt you, go ahead and drink it, you will feel loads better."

Damien sighed he would never understand why people were raised to think magic wasn't real, but then he was always around magic so it knew. "Many people do not want to believe in the unknown, but these days both worlds work together in many good ways."

Damien got a little over excited when she said she would go. "You are going to love it I promise, my parents have told me all sorts of stories plus I have a book that tells all about it. Maybe we could get you a copy too so you will know too."

"You know Tessa, I really do not have any friends except you, so I am sure I will sit with you once in awhile."
